JME Creations Design Team Day - Orange Circle Challenge

Today is Design Team Day over at JME Creations!
The theme today is an Orange Circle Challenge.

When I first saw this my first thought was that I dont really like orange. :)
But then I figured out exactly what I was going to do.
Usually my projects have a lot of things going on and I wanted to make something more simple.

So I used two of my favorite things; Elegant Edges and the Twinery Twine.

Show Me Your Craft Room Blog Hop

Hi! Welcome to another stop on the Show Me Your Craftroom Blog Hop!
If you are coming here from Kassidy you are headed in the right direction. If you want to start at the beginning please start at Susan's blog! This is Susan's first blog hop and I am so excited to be a part of it! (And to see everyone else's craft room too!)

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR MY CRICUT CRAFT ROOM'S 100 CARTRIDGE BLOG HOP PLEASE SCROLL DOWN!

Today is our chance to show off our craft rooms! This summer I was getting frustrated because I had everything in totes with lids and I always needed the tote that was on the bottom it seemed like.  I had a desk from the Container Store that was an amazing crafting space but I couldnt get to any of my stuff!

My crafting space is in half of our laundry room which is actually a walk through to the back door.  I saw a picture of a Workbox from the  Original Scrapbox in a magazine and hung it up on my wall as something I was going to start saving for (and I measured the room to make sure it would fit) so I could get my things more organized.

My husband must have gotten the hint that I wanted it because everytime I read a crafting magazine I would leave it open to that ad and leave it where I knew he would sit.  He ended up suprising me with the Work Box for our anniversary this summer. It took us awhile (ok a long while) to put it together and get it in the house but it is so worth it.  If I want to I can close it all up (but I never do because I am always using it)

Here is my craft room!
(Sorry about the walls, we are stripping them in order to paint this room PINK!)

My Twinery Twine collection!

Under the desk...

My friend Brittany gave me a Clip It Up Ribbon Organizer but I found that Cricut Cartridges fit in it perfectly and I can also hang my stamps on it! I love it so much!

I love my Work Box! It makes me stay (some what) organized if I put everything back where it belongs! LOL  The only thing that I wish was different is the desk. I wish it was longer because once I move my Cricut out there is not a lot of space to create!  Other than that I love it so much!  I am so greatful my husband bought it for me.  He is a keeper!

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I will be giving away a Space Party Cricut Cartridge as blog candy.

Here is how you can enter: (you can have up to three entries)
1. Leave me a comment
2. Become a follower and leave me a comment (if you are already following just tell me that in a message)
3. Like The Original Scrapbox on Facebook and tell them that you saw their Work Box on my blog

http://hollys-hobbie.blogspot.com/  and then leave me a comment that you did this! (I dont get anything for this I just want them to know that I love their product!)

The next stop on the hop is my great friend Linda I cant wait to see her craftroom! Someday I am going to go there and craft with her!

If you get lost on the hop here is the lineup:

Happy Blog Hopping!

Love Always,

Holly

You Had Me at Craft Guest Designer Lala Palooza Featuring ME!!!

Today I am so excited to be a guest designer over at You Had Me At Craft!
EEEEK! I am freaking out over here, it is such an honor to be chosen!

At first when I was picked I was so excited but then I realized that I had to make something fantastic so I got a little worried! Now that I am done, I am just excited to share what I made!
I recently got the card Flower Shoppe and I love it but I had yet to open it up so I thought I would use it for my guest designer day!

For my project I had been looking everywhere for the green foam circle wreath that they sell in all the craft stores but I couldnt find any. I was discussing it with my friend Brittany and she came up with the idea to use packing paper!

This is the "wreath" that I made with packing paper and packing tape.

I then wrapped it in green tulle and Voila! I had a wreath. Then I cut about a million (this is an approximate number) flowers out from Flower Shoppe and hot glued them to the wreath. At this point I am not sure if the wreath got more glue or my hands. I got glue everywhere!

This is the end product!

This is my wreath hanging on the wall.
Because I used different sized flowers, the circle doesnt look circular but it is.

Close up of one flower.

I really hope that you enjoyed my project! I am just still over the moon about being a guest designer for Alex at You Had Me At Craft! She was one of the first blogs that I ever visited and I have been hooked ever since! She is one talented lady!

Thank you so much Alex for letting me be a part of your Lala Palooza! I hope that you are settled in your new home and are back to your fantastic creations soon!

I will be giving away a DCWV Advent Calendar Kit for blog candy - just in time for Christmas.  In order to win please leave a comment here and on Alex's blog. Winner will be chosen and announced here on Friday the 4th.

Love Always,

Holly
